Davide Papini graduated with his MSc thesis titled “A Metal 3D Printing Workflow to Design Lightweight Façade Joints“, with an evaluation of 110/110 cum laude. His thesis has been co-supervised by Prof Ali Gokhan Demir and Prof Barbara Previtali from Mechanical Engineering Department of Politecnico di Milano. The focus of the thesis was on topology optimisation and parametric modelling of standard metal connections to be manufactured with metal 3D Printing technologies to provide material, sustainability and fabrication benefits.
